SMFC 1877 SUPPORTERS CLUB
IS NOW FULLY SUBSCRIBED !
Monday 22nd February, 2016 was the day the new stadium based
supporters club SMFC 1877 Club became fully subscribed.
Applications will continue to be received and placed on a reserve
The Fans Council would like to thank our fellow supporters and
Founder Members of the new club for their support and enthusiasm
for this initiative.
The club opening date will be released shortly.
SMFC 1877 Supporters Club Update
On Boxing Day, 26th December,2015, The Fans Council handed
over a cheque for £10,000 to St.Mirren F.C as the supporters club
Founder Members contribution (£9,455) and an additional
contribution(£545) from The Fans Council's funds to support the

New Committee Appointments
The Fans Council Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday
12th November at the hospitality suite at the stadium despite the
best efforts of Hurricane Abigail.
Retiring committe members were Chairman Alan Wardrop, Vice
Chairman Eric Crossan and Treasurer Allan Gallagher having
completed their two year tenure.
New Chairman Colin Haggerty, Vice Chair Stewart Milton and
Treasurer John Allison were unanimously voted in.
Secretary Sarah Murray and Public Relations Representative
Alan Murray continue their roles and look forward to helping the
new appointments settle in to their roles.
We were delighted both Club Chairman Stewart Gilmour and
Manager Ian Murray could attend and answered questions put to
them by the weather battered attendees.
St.Mirren TV's James Hunter filmed the event and this will be put
online in the near future.
Executive Committee Positions Review
The present Chairman Alan Wardrop, who has completed his two
year term of service must stand down in line with the Fans Council
constitution and will not stand for re-election.
The present Vice Chairman Eric Crossan, who has completed his
two year term of service must stand down in line with the Fans
Council constitution and will not stand for re-election.
The present minute secretary is Sarah Murray who has completed
her two year term of service and must stand down in line with the
Fans Council constitution.
The present treasurer Allan Gallacher has intimated he wishes to
stand down after 3 years of valuable service.
Should any meeting members wish to be considered for any
of the above executive positions as outlined above then they
must register their interest with the present Chairman prior
to our next meeting on Wednesday 7th September,2015.
SUPPORTERS CLUB UPDATE-10th August,2015
LIMITED NUMBER OF PLACES STILL AVAILABLE !
We launched our new stadium based supporters club, SMFC 1877 on Thursday 25th June,2015 and within 4 days we received over 300 applications.
Over 225 have completed their application by paying a Founder Members Fee and have had their membership confirmed.
However, not all the applicants have completed the process within the timescale set of 31st July and as a result we have a small number of memberships (50) still available as at Monday 10th August,2015.
We have left some spare capacity to facilitate a sign in process
where members can sign in non members for a £6 fee.The fee is to
ensure paying members are not disadvantaged.
This is the first stage of building our own stadium based supporters club and we would like to thank all our fellow supporters for helping us build a new home for our supporters .... because we deserve it !
We will update members of the build progress on a regular basis and request members contributions towards memorabilia etc to make this feel every inch a St.Mirren supporters club.

NEW SUPPORTERS CLUB LAUNCHED
THE SMFC 1877 CLUB
With effect from Thursday 25th June, 2015 applications are invited for membership of the all new St.Mirren supporters club,The SMFC 1877 Club.
It will be based in the stadium at the current void area of the main stand which will be developed over the next few months to create a familly friendly, sports cafe / bar area for club members.
Memberships are being offered to all St.Mirren supporters on a first come first served basis with places limited to 300 due to the capacity of the void area.

St.Mirren Fans Council Golf Day
was held on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2015.
SMFC Fans Council raised £1,000 for the Youth Academy as a result of this event.

Launch of new season strips designed by
St.Mirren Supporters for St.Mirren Supporters
After the "marmite" kit of last season (you either loved it or hated it) the club have invited The Fans Council for their input towards the season 2015/2016 kit.
We, as a group, considered a range of options produced by JD Sports for our consideration and input.
We chose to go back to our traditional colours but with modern designs.
The video (link below) was created to promote and signify the "Historic" strip where for the first time St.Mirren supporters have designed a strip for the club.The video is a combination of our young players thoughts and our (old) fans views and memories Something a bit different. Click here
The Fans Council would like to thank JD Sports for all their help and support.
The kit was launched for pre orders 19th June,2015 with the home kit on sale in JD stores from the 9th July. 2015.
The away kit will be available from the end of July, 2015.
Player of the Year Awards
The Fans Council Player and Young Player of the Year awards for
season 2014/2015 was Jason Naismith.
Pictured below is Jason's brother George collecting the award on behalf of Jason from Fans Council Vice Chairman Eric Crossan.
Jason couldnt attend but text from holiday to say "great honour for me and my family ....made my old man very proud and theres nothing better than that."
TOPPS STICKERS FAMILY DAY OUT
On Thursday 9th April, 2015 the St.Mirren Fans Council will be offering a wonderful family day out for St.Mirren supporters and it's FREE !
The day commences at 1.30 pm at the stadiums hospitality area where youngsters can meet the players, get pictures taken with their heroes and get those autograph books signed.
The first 500 kids will also get a FREE Topps SPFL 2015/15 sticker album and a packet of stickers to start their collection.
There will also be football related activities for children in the Air dome operated by the St.Mirren in the Community coaches.
Its a great day out with all the kids encouraged to wear their St.Mirren strips and feel part of the St.Mirren family.
The day finishes at 3pm.
New Supporters Club Initiative Update
The planned launch of a new St.Mirren supporters club, called the
SMFC 1877 Club, has been delayed to allow newly appointed board
member Ian Henderson the opportunity to fully evaluate the commercial impact and opportunities for development of the void area.
Ian has only been in the job a week and attended Thursdays 5th March Fans Council meeting to hear the views and opinions of the Saints Fans Council members.
Ian has a strong background in property development and is a life long Saints supporter.His attendance was greatly appreciated.
Ian expects to conclude his evaluation of the supporters club proposal by the end of May when further discussions will be arranged.
Legends Evening Saturday 18th April 2015
Celebrating the 35th anniversary of our famous Anglo
Scottish Cup Victory
Saturday 18th April is the evening planned to honour, celebrate and remember the heroes of 1980, the only Scottish team to ever win the Anglo Scottish Cup.
The evening kicks off at 7pm at the stadiums corporate hospitality area.
The event will include a Casino evening and buffet.
The current squad and the legends of 1980 will also be in attendance and this will provide an opportunity to meet and discuss the events of that glorious time in our history.
There will be some surprise guests in attendance and a fun evening for all.
Tickets are now on sale from the club stadium reception priced at £15.
THE FANS ZONE... A GREAT SUCCESS!
Saturday 20th December,2014 was the first Fans Zone event launched by the Fans Council as a result of funds raised in the most recent lottery.
The draw was made by Saints legend Tony Fitzpatrick and the winners were as follows:
First Prize £1,000 David McKenna
Second £500 Gordon MacPherson
Third £250 Jean Wiseman
The event proved really popular and many supporters were asking
when the next event would be held without a true understanding of
the many challenges involved.There were many unkowns such as
we did not know how many fans would buy a lottery ticket and we
could not know the demand for the event which was overwhleming
with the 225 available places reserved within 48 hours.
We had to close the registration process early due to the high
demand, but it has proven to the club there is a demand for these type of facilities at the stadium. As a result, we plan to launch a new
supporters club in early 2015 with the aim of funding a permanent
supporters club at the stadium.

THE FANS ZONE IS FULL
We are both delighted and sad to inform our fellow supporters the Fans Zone is full to capacity.
In the space of 48 hours over 200 Saints Fans, both adults and children have registered their attendance and have had e mail confirmation of their place.
Unfortunately, if you have not had confirmation by e mail today,
Wednesday 17th December, 2014 we are sorry to inform you that we will be unable to accomodate you on this occasion.
Given how popular the Fans Zone has become, we hope to repeat it in the future with the launch of a new virtual supporters club in 2015 to fund a permanent supporters club in the future.
Our decision has not been taken lightly but to expand the Marquee area would bring additional costs and as we have marketed this event as a free event we do not want to move the goal posts and start charging.We also do not want the supporters who have registered quickly to be disadvantaged by too many people.
A big thank you to our fellow supporters for their enthusiasm for this event and all the positive comments we have received to date.
We are sure the fans forums are going to love this !!
St.Mirren Supporters Fan Zone
We are creating a Fans Zone at the stadium for our home game against Motherwell on Saturday 20th December,2014.
It's an opportunity to catch up with fellow Saints Supporters at Christmas, with a range of activities organised to keep your spirits up before and after the game with the opening time of 12.30pm.
The Fan Zone will be a St.Mirren supporters only dedicated area,
under the protection of a large Marquee specially hired for the day
as a result of funds raised in the latest Fans Council lottery.
The key activities are as follows:
- Live Band The Ten Bob Sliders with Stevie Thompsons Dad Graham Thompson playing from 1pm.
- Pop Up Club Shop for last minute Saints Christmas gifts
- Hot Dog and Burger Bar
- Kids Zone with playstations provided
- Live On Screen Football, Man City v Crystal Palace 12.45 K.O
- Bar serving both alcolholic and non alcoholic drinks (Drinks licence approved)
We can accomodate up to 225 supporters as long as they
have registered online. Entry is FREE.

The Marquee will be situated in the car park area between the
Family Stand and West Stand.
Opening and closing times are as follows:
12.30 pm open and closing at 3pm with last drink orders at 2.30 pm
5pm re open until 6pm close with last orders at 5.30pm.
